Introduction: if the goal of social welfare policies is society, the key to get at the society welfare are first the expectancy of a suitable and healthy life and then the life quality. Different factors are at work in the promotion and development of a society including: economical factors, political factors, cultural factors, social factors, etc. Determine the relationship between intellectual intelligence with emotional reactions of nurses in hospitals of Tehran University .Spiritual intelligence is a human cognitive abilities that are important role in various aspects of human life and by affects on the behavior and activities, One of factors affecting the performance of people in organizations. This study was done to determine the relationship between spiritual intelligence with anxiety, depression and stress in nurses.

 

Method: This research is a descriptive correlation study. In this study, 270 nurses in hospitals of Tehran University of Medical Sciences selected with easy Sampling method. 3-part questionnaire was used to collect data. The first part included demographic information, the second 24-point scale with 4 components of spiritual intelligence, the third part of the DASS questionnaire, which included 21 of the 3-state depression, anxiety and stress were measured. The questionnaires Giving to nurses in the morning, afternoon and evening shift and then for 24 h were collected and analyzed. For data analysis, descriptive and inferential statistical methods were used.

 

Results: The results showed that relation between spiritual intelligence and anxiety (p=0/001, r=0/53), between spiritual intelligence and depression (p=0/001, r=0/48), and between spiritual intelligence and stress (p=0/001, r=0/48), is significant.

 

Conclusion: In order to progress and improve performance and behavior of nurses and also control their emotional reactions, in addition to the normal training period, necessary provisions for the promotion of spiritual intelligence also be considered.
